Welcome to Monthly Qi Hikes!
These occur on the 3rd Saturdays @ 10am-12pm starting in March. We’ll practice qigong aligned with seasonal healing (see details below), hike, and connect with our community in nature. Hiking spots will be in the Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Howard County areas. Feel free to bring a yoga mat, water, and snacks/lunch to enjoy!
Location: Druid Hill Park - Zen Garden. 3478 Parkdale Ave, Baltimore, MD. Park on the street. Take your first left along the path, go up the hill, then take another left to enter the zen garden.
Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is an ancient Chinese mind-body-spirit practice that combines gentle movement, meditation, and breath to promote optimum health and wellness. It has also been referred to as "energy yoga". Qigong isn’t your average workout. This is a space for deep transformation and healing. When you practice qigong, you’re practicing self-love and learning to heal yourself (truly from the inside out).
Qigong flows are created to aid seasonal healing according to the Five Elements Theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine. For example, for our spring practices, we’ll focus on moving through the transitions with ease, gaining new perspectives, and cultivating more compassion and patience.

Interested in more qigong?
We do 2 new routines each month via zoom (Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings). In-person classes are held at Manor Mill in Monkton, MD on Wednesdays at 6:30-7:30pm. Classes are suitable for beginners and experts alike.
