  • Purge (bring stuck, excess, and/or toxic energy to the surface so it can be cleared)

  • Tonify (strengthen; bring in healing energy)

  • Regulate (promote balance after purging and tonifying)

Qigong, pronounced “chee gong”, literally translates from Chinese to “energy cultivation”. This ancient mind-body-spirit practice (also called “energy yoga”) combines gentle movement, meditation, and breath to promote optimum health and wellness. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, states of being (illness/disease and health/wellness) are a result of how energy flows within our minds and bodies.

There are a number of benefits from practicing qigong:

  • Relaxed fascia (connective tissue that holds the organ in place), allowing the organs to work more efficiently

  • Increased range of motion and stamina

  • Increased strength

  • Improved balance and coordination

  • A greater awareness of your internal state
