Christina Dumas, RYT 200, will guide you through a Level 1-2 yoga routine with focus on purification to release doubt and fear. This is an energizing sequence to flush the liver and rejuvenate ones soul.
Sarah Karp, Certified Master of Medical Qigong, will then guide you through a routine to release frustration/anger and build resilience and openness to new perspectives. Qigong is an ancient Chinese healing modality, using gentle movements, breath, and visualizations/intention to balance ones energy.
We will end with a brief meditation, and leave time for any questions/insights.
Christina has been practicing for over six years and teaching for almost two. She is accredited by Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 after studying under Scott Nanamura with Diamond Heart Yoga at The Mystical Yoga Farm in Guatemala. She then taught in a studio in Colorado, continued her yoga education in Nepal and India, and has been extending her presence online to reach people all around the world.
Sarah was first exposed to tai chi, the most well-know style of qigong, back in 2005 in China. As of 2014, she began practicing regularly on her own. Seeing the value in this 3,500-5,000 year old practice, she pursued formal education in Medical Qigong, and has been teaching qigong workout classes in Maryland since 2018. Sarah is currently offering virtual classes. www.qigonghw.com
